Breathe built this site in partnership with the NZ Rugby Union, Sonic Mobile (our sister company) and Telecom. The site is powered by Sonic’s mobile content engine.
The job
Breathe was given the tight timeframe to get the site up and running prior to the 2007 Rugby World Cup. Breathe was responsible for the design (OK, the colour choice wasn’t that difficult),the look and feel of the site and the front end coding of the site. The Sonic team took care of the back end and the NZ Rugby Union and Telecom provided the All Black’s wall papers, ringtones and videos.
The site allows the customer to view and play a range of graphics, ringtones and videos, check the compatibility of their phone and then text a code to download the content to their handset. Content costs are automatically charged to the user’s phone.
The glue that held it all together
Anyone who has worked with a number of stakeholders knows it can be difficult getting a collective forward drive on a project. Breathe’s project manager did a magnificent job of pulling the solution together and the project was delivered to deadline.
With a bit of creative thinking the All Blacks content is not only available to Telecom mobile phone users in New Zealand, but will be available for those All Blacks fans who live in Australia.
